Welcome! Here’s a bit about me and about the blog you’ve been so kind as to read.
My name is Pat Frantz, and I’ve been an artist all of my (considerable) life. From the time I can remember, my grandmother let me cut paper dolls and their clothes, and snowflakes of all designs, out of her Sears catalog and old newspapers. The gift of a box of crayons was better than gold in my world, and those little trays of dry paint (just add water) were the best treasure of all!
All the way through elementary, middle and high schools I continued my love of art, and particularly painting. Although small, my high school had annual art contests and I always entered. Sometimes I won something, sometimes I didn’t but at least I received good and honest critique from the judges. In high school I also enjoyed pottery but, I must admit, it was the application of the glazes that I loved the best. It’s that painting thing, heh.
Now that I’m an adult, I have the privilege of owning a painting studio. I have also started writing a blog, in which I will share insights, techniques, art ideas and answer questions should you have any. I really want this to be fun, and a resource for you all.
